Our mission as Christians is clear. We’re here as Jesus’ representatives to proclaim the gospel (Mark 16:15) and to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). In fact, every person who is a follower of Christ is part of the Lord’s priesthood (1 Peter 1:9), appointed to serve the Lord by bringing people to Him (in prayer) and by bringing Him to people (preaching the truth). According to the Bible, every believer is “in the ministry.”
The role of the organized local church is defined in Ephesians 4:11 & 12, which says: “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…”
To help accomplish this, we have identified a team of mature believers who have agreed to serve a group of people who regularly attend Calvary by praying for them, contacting them on a regular basis, responding to their needs, and serving as a connection point with the ministry. Below, you will find a directory of the Pastoral Care Team:
David and his wife, Brenda, serve as part of the Pastoral Care Team. David is involved with the Bright View Assisted Living outreach, and teaches the 8-9 year-old class at CC Delta. He is also part of our Board of Overseers.
Dan leads the Men Encouraging Men Breakfast & Bible Study. He is a member of our Board of Overseers. Dan and his wife, Ellie, also serve as part of the Pastoral Care Team.
Alan manages the Book Store and Library. Judy leads the Tuesday Morning Women's Prayer Meeting. Alan & Judy also serve as part of the Pastoral Care Team.
Abbie is the Team Leader for the 4-5/6-7 year-old classes. She hosts a Tuesday evening women's home Bible Study and serves as part of the Pastoral Care Team.
Noah leads the Sound/Media Ministry. Noah and his wife, Sarah, also serve as part of the Pastoral Care Team. Additionally, Noah is part of our Board of Overseers.
We’ll begin Easter Weekend with a Good Friday service (4/2) in our large, ventilated tent, as we take time to remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ through worship, a message, and communion. We’ll conclude the service in remembrance of the finished work of Jesus on the cross, while waiting in anticipation for Sunday morning.

There will be no childcare provided for this service.
Calvary Chapel of Delta is seeking to take all the necessary precautions to provide a safe and healthy environment for all services and events. Join us outside, in a large, heated tent as we gather together to worship. The tent is staged with large rows of chairs spaced 6ft apart from front to back. In order to maintain physical distancing within the tent, please leave 3 chairs between your group and the next group in the row. We ask that you wear a mask whenever you are not at your physically distanced seat, but at your seat, whether seated or standing, feel free to remove your mask.
Restrooms are located in the church building (where masks are required), and a portable restroom is also available on the grounds near the tent.
