On the Road to Bethlehem
Saturday, December 19th | 4:30-8:30pm
Join us for this walk-through, living history event. Arrive anytime between 4:30 and 7:30 to begin your journey. After you park your car, a shepherd will greet you and lead you back in time to the days when Caesar commanded everyone to make the journey to their hometowns. On the road to Bethlehem, you’ll meet biblical characters who will share their perspective on the events surrounding that first Christmas, ultimately leading to the manger.
This free, outdoor event also features an extensive Christmas light display with over 50,000 lights, seasonal refreshments, and music, and will conclude with fireworks at 8:00 p.m. The rain/snow date is December 20.
Due to the health risks of COVID-19, this event is designed to move people through in small groups to avoid crowding and an unhealthy environment. As a religious service, it is specifically excluded from our governor’s current limitations; however, the church encourages everyone to maintain proper distancing and wear masks if unable to maintain distancing.
